1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) govern your participation in the PaperBakes Rewards programme (the Programme) operated by Lam's Singapore Culinary Enterprise Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200915143H), referred to below as PaperBakes, we, or us. By joining the Programme you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy & PDPA Notice.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to join the Programme.
  • You must have a valid Singapore mobile number to join the Programme.
  • Only one account per person is permitted. Duplicate or multiple accounts may be merged, suspended, or closed at our discretion.
  • Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of PaperBakes may participate, but are subject to additional internal policies.

3. Points and membership tiers

The Programme uses two kinds of points, which are kept separate:

  • Status Points determine your membership tier. They are earned from your spending only and are not redeemable.
  • Reward Points are what you redeem for rewards. You earn them from your spending (boosted by your tier) and from bonus activities.

3.1 Earning Status Points

  • You earn 5 Status Points for every full S$1 spent at participating PaperBakes outlets, whether you dine in, take away, pick up, or order delivery directly from PaperBakes.
  • Orders placed through third-party platforms (for example GrabFood or foodpanda) do not earn Status Points or Reward Points.
  • Only whole dollars count. Any amount below S$1 (i.e. cents) is not counted. For example, a qualifying spend of S$15.90 earns 75 Status Points, not 79.
  • The qualifying spend is your order total inclusive of GST, but excludes service charge, delivery fees, gift cards, and any discounts or vouchers applied. For example, a S$10.90 receipt (S$10 food + S$0.90 GST) earns 50 Status Points.
  • Status Points are earned on spending only. Bonus points (the welcome bonus, Rewards Boost, referral bonus, and promotions) do not count toward Status Points or your tier.
  • Status Points are not redeemable and do not expire on a fixed date. Your tier is based on the Status Points you earned over the most recent 12 months (a rolling window), so older Status Points gradually stop counting toward your tier.

3.2 Membership tiers

Your tier is based on the Status Points you have earned in the trailing 12 months:

  • First Plate (from 0 Status Points): earn Reward Points at the base rate.
  • Silver Plate (from 1,500 Status Points): earn +20% more Reward Points.
  • Gold Plate (from 4,000 Status Points): earn +50% more Reward Points.
  • When your trailing-12-month Status Points reach a tier's threshold, you are promoted to that tier.
  • Once you reach a tier you keep it for at least 12 months. At the end of that period your tier is reviewed against your trailing-12-month Status Points and may stay the same or move to the tier your spending supports.
  • Tier names, thresholds, and earning rates may change at our discretion; the current values are published on the rewards platform.

3.3 Earning Reward Points

  • For each qualifying order you earn Reward Points equal to the Status Points for that order multiplied by your current tier rate (First Plate 1x, Silver Plate 1.2x, Gold Plate 1.5x), then rounded down to the nearest 5 points. For example, S$15 spent at Gold Plate earns 75 x 1.5 = 112.5, rounded down to 110 Reward Points.
  • You also earn Reward Points from bonus activities, including the welcome bonus, Rewards Boost (Spin & Dine), referrals, and members-only promotions. These bonus Reward Points are also rounded down to the nearest 5 points.
  • Reward Points are credited within 24 hours of the qualifying transaction; bonus points may be credited on their own schedule (see the relevant section). If points are missing, contact us within 30 days of the transaction with proof of purchase and we'll investigate.
  • You can earn up to 25,000 Reward Points in any rolling 12-month period, including all bonuses. Reward Points beyond this cap are not awarded.
  • Points have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be sold, exchanged, or combined with any other account.

4. Welcome bonus

  • 50 bonus Reward Points are awarded after your first qualifying order of S$15 or more. As a bonus, these are Reward Points and do not count toward your tier.
  • The welcome bonus is a one-time reward. It may not be combined with any other sign-up promotion.
  • The welcome bonus is credited within 24 hours of the qualifying transaction.

5. Redeeming points

  • Rewards are redeemed using your Reward Points (Status Points are not redeemable). Available rewards, redemption rates, and any conditions are published on the rewards platform and may be added to, varied, or removed at our discretion.
  • Redemptions are final and non-refundable once confirmed.
  • Redemptions are subject to availability and to any reward-specific terms (for example, time-limited offers or outlet exclusions).
  • Points cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Vouchers and discount codes are personal to your account and non-transferable. They are for your own use only and must be used before the expiry shown in your wallet. Sharing, selling, or transferring a code to another person or account, or using a code that was issued to another member, is not permitted. We may void the voucher, reverse any benefit received, and treat repeated misuse as grounds for suspension or termination of your account under section 11.

6. Birthday treat

  • Members who provide their date of birth at signup are eligible for a birthday treat each year.
  • You must add your date of birth at least 30 days before your birthday to receive the treat in the same calendar year. If you sign up or add your date of birth within 30 days of your birthday, the treat will apply from the following year onwards.
  • The contents of the treat, the validity window, and how to redeem are published on the rewards platform and may change over time.

7. Members-only promotions and daily discount perks

  • From time to time we make daily or periodic discount perks available exclusively to members at our discretion.
  • Each promotion is subject to its own terms, which are published with the promotion. Promotions may be limited by outlet, item, time, or quantity.
  • Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined with any other promotion, voucher, or discount.

8. Rewards Boost

Rewards Boost is a set of optional ways to earn extra rewards from the member area. The features available may change over time.

8.1 Spin & Dine

  • The Rewards Boost is a spin-the-wheel game that gives you a chance to win bonus points, discount vouchers, or free items.
  • You earn 1 spin for every qualifying order of S$15 or more (GST inclusive). Each receipt earns at most 1 spin regardless of the receipt total.
  • Spins are credited to your account within 12 hours of your order's serving time, once your account is verified.
  • Prizes are subject to availability.
  • Voucher prizes won from a spin follow the same terms as other redeemed vouchers (section 5). Points prizes are credited to your Reward Points balance immediately and, as a bonus, do not count toward your tier.
  • Some prizes and promotions award a points boost voucher (for example a +100% boost). Once you activate a boost it applies to your next qualifying order and multiplies the Reward Points earned on the first S$100 of that order's spend; any spend above S$100 earns Reward Points at your normal rate. A boost applies to a single order, cannot be combined with another boost, and expires on the date shown on the voucher.
  • Spins have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be sold, exchanged, or combined with any other account.
  • Unused spin credits do not expire while your account is active, but all unused spins are forfeited immediately if you delete your account. Forfeited spins cannot be reinstated.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Rewards Boost feature, including changing the earning threshold, prize composition, or prize availability, at any time without prior notice.
  • Any abuse of the Rewards Boost (including but not limited to multiple accounts, automated spinning, or collusion) may result in forfeiture of spins and prizes, and suspension or termination of your account under section 11.

8.2 Rate & Reward (Google reviews)

  • You can earn Reward Points by leaving a genuine Google review for a participating outlet. You can earn this reward once per outlet.
  • To earn, you must connect a Google account so we can confirm the review was written by you. We confirm reviews on a best-effort basis by matching the display name shown on your review to your connected Google account, or to the Google Maps display name you provide.
  • Your review must be your own genuine and honest opinion. We do not require a positive review, and points are not a payment for a favourable rating. Posting a review you did not write, or reviews from multiple accounts, is not permitted.
  • Once the system matches your review, your points are added within 24 hours. Some reviews are checked by our team before points are added, and a review we cannot verify as genuinely yours may be declined.
  • Reward Points earned this way are a bonus and do not count toward your tier. They follow the same expiry as other Reward Points (section 9).
  • Removing or materially changing your review after points are credited, or any abuse of this feature, may result in forfeiture of the points and suspension or termination of your account under section 11.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Rate & Reward, including the points awarded and the eligibility rules, at any time without prior notice. Google and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC; this feature is not endorsed by or affiliated with Google.

9. Point expiry

  • Reward Points expire 6 months from the date they were earned, unless we expressly state a different expiry at the time the points were credited.
  • Status Points are not redeemable and do not expire on a fixed date; only Reward Points are subject to expiry. Your tier reflects the Status Points you earned in the trailing 12 months (see section 3).
  • Expired points cannot be reinstated.
  • We may notify you of Reward Points that are about to expire by SMS or email (if you have opted in to marketing communications).

10. Referral codes and the referral bonus

  • Each member receives a unique referral code at signup.
  • When a new member signs up using your code and makes a first qualifying purchase of S$15 or more, both you (the referrer) and the new member (the referee) receive a one-time bonus of 50 Reward Points each. As a bonus, these are Reward Points and do not count toward your tier.
  • Limited cross-account disclosure. So that each side can see how the bonus was earned, your Bonus history page on the Refer & Earn section may display the initials of the friend you referred (or who referred you). Initials are derived from the registered contact name and do not include the person’s full name, mobile number, email address, the date or details of any purchase, or any other contact information. The same disclosure applies in reverse on the other member’s account. If you do not consent to this limited disclosure, please do not share or accept a referral code.
  • We reserve the right to disqualify any referral we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, self-referred, or made between members of the same household.

11. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend, terminate, or adjust your account balance at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

  • Provided false or misleading information at signup or thereafter.
  • Engaged in fraud or in any abuse of the Programme, including misuse of bonuses, promotional codes, or vouchers.
  • Sold, transferred, or attempted to monetise your points, referral code, or account.
  • Operated more than one account, or operated an account on behalf of someone else without our consent.
  • Breached these Terms or our Privacy Policy & PDPA Notice.

Upon account termination (whether by you or by us), all unused points, spin credits, unredeemed vouchers, and any pending rewards are permanently forfeited and cannot be reinstated, refunded, or transferred.

12. Changes to the Programme

  • We may change these Terms, the earn rate, the redemption catalogue, the expiry rules, or any other aspect of the Programme at any time.
  • Material changes will be communicated by SMS or email (if you've opted in to marketing communications) and posted on the rewards platform.
  • Your continued participation after the change date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Discontinuation of the Programme

  • We may discontinue the Programme at any time with at least 30 days' notice.
  • On discontinuation you will have at least 30 days from the announcement date to redeem any accrued points. Points not redeemed within that window will be forfeited.

14. Liability

  • The Programme is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind in connection with the Programme.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaperBakes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising out of your participation in the Programme.
  • Our total liability under these Terms is capped at the equivalent monetary value of the points in your account at the time the claim arises.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Singapore law.

15. Privacy

Personal data collected through the Programme is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy & PDPA Notice, which forms part of these Terms. This includes the limited account details (such as your name, email, customer ID, membership tier, and points balances) shared with our live-chat support provider when you contact us through the in-app chat while signed in, so we can identify you and assist you. See Section 5 of the Privacy Policy for details.

16. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
  • Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
